(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Eman Pulis, founder and CEO, SiGMA Group, gave details about the organization of recent SIGMA show in Malta, and shared his expectations about future Manila show.

What are the particular features of recent 2019 edition?
Increasing in size, scope, and success over the last 5 years, SiGMA’19 has been our biggest show yet, with more than 15,000 delegates attending to network with leaders in the iGaming industry, strike deals with the biggest brands, engage with leading suppliers, and secure support from the affiliates that matter.   It shows that the industry is still in great shape and the future has plenty to offer.

What were the main highlights in SiGMA 2019?
There was so much going on at the show, it’s difficult to pinpoint one thing in particular. But as usual, the conference room was the most popular destination.  This year we had a fantastic line-up of speakers delving into topics including regulation and compliance, AI & Blockchain in iGaming, Payments & Fintech, Affiliates & CMO's, as well as a look at the disruptive innovation shaping the future of the industry.

How was the feedback from exhibitors and visitors?
We’re passionate about the show, and putting on not only a B2B event, but also bringing people together in both work and play.  That’s one of the reasons why SiGMA has become one of the sectors most popular events in the calendar each year.   There’s plenty of colourful entertainment, dinners, networking events and other activities away from the expo location, which offer a more relaxed atmosphere for networking and getting to know new contacts in the industry.  As a result, the feedback has been very positive from everyone!

Has the event met your expectations?
The event surpassed our expectations, and that has a lot to do with the quality of our speakers, exhibitors and visitors.   We make the show happen, but they bring the quality content, the amazing stands, and the high-energy atmosphere.  We’re always amazed at how brilliantly everything comes together.   It’s a lot of hard work, but absolutely worth it!

How many visitors did the summit have?
This year SiGMA welcomed over 15,000 visitors - so many that we have to lay on extra modes of transport for delegates to arrive by.   So we had several stretch hummer limos, a fleet of coaches, and even the SiGMAcopter flying people to and from the expo location.  It was truly amazing!

Is there already a date for the next edition?
We haven’t confirmed the date for the next Malta edition, but it will be in early December 2020.   However, we’re launching our Asia-focussed show in Manila for June 8th-9th 2020 - that’s the next event in our calendar, and it’s going to be huge, combining blockchain and iGaming, alongside ICE Asia’s land-based expo, all under one roof!

What can you tell us about SiGMA Asia? What are the expectations?
SiGMA Manila in June 2020 will be our first super expo in the region, and we expect it to be packed with opportunities for iGaming companies from East and West.   Suppliers, operators, platforms, affiliates, and a focus on jurisdictional compliance to help companies from the West take advantage of the opportunities to be found in the emerging ASEAN markets.

What is it like working with Clarion? Why should people attend the SiGMA Manila Asian Summit?
It’s great working with Clarion - we’re both established brands, but we’re working in different areas, so our shows complement each other.  SiGMA’s iGaming expertise and approach, alongside Clarion’s land-based gambling offering, make for a super expo in Manila that will be unrivalled in 2020!  To miss it will be to miss out on the future of the gaming sector!
