(Barcelona, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Hamest Safaryan, Regional Sales Team Manager at Digitain, sporke with SoloAzar within the recent SBC Summit Latin America event held in Miami. There she commented on the performance of the company and the current situation in the spanish market, among other topics.

How was your experience at this edition of the SBC Summit Barcelona?

The show was as well attended as expected by the Team at SBC Events. Our stand was busy with pre-planned meetings and walk-ups, so we are encouraged by our enquiry pipeline for the next few weeks.

Could you give a brief summary of your participation in the event, in terms of the products exhibited that most attracted the attention of the public, the conferences you attended, and if you were nominated for any awards?

Our visitors to our stand had a strong sales interest in our full omnichannel, GLI-certified award-winning sports betting and gaming platform technology, turnkey and API solutions, which we already supply to over 150 international operators.

Some of the highlights included the attendance of our brand ambassador, the world-renowned football player Mr. Luis Figo, who drew much attention at our booth and engaged our partners and audience in conversation about his success on and off the football park.

This year Digitain had a beach bar which was one of the busiest areas at the show where we have conducted a raffle with the participation of Luis Figo.

The highlight of yet another great SBC event was Digitain winning the Sports Betting Provider of the Year Award for 2023. The awards ceremony was attended by over 900 representatives from the B2B and B2C iGaming industry, and our brand ambassador, Mr. Luis Figo, was on hand to accept the award with our team during the evening proceedings. 

Worth mentioning the great idea of SBC team as well to host the Awards in the Winery at Penedes which made the evening very memorable.

What new opportunities did your firm find within the Spanish market?

The Spanish and Latin American markets are growing year-on-year. This includes new entrants to the market and existing B2C operators looking to enter and or change their incumbent technology stack for sportsbooks.

We are focused on the continental European and LatAm markets. Our sales enquiry pipeline continues to grow, including reviewing the regulated commercial and business development opportunities and requirements in the broader sense that these markets present to allow us to scale our business pipeline.

What were the trend(s) in the Spanish or European iGaming market and what does this mean for your firm?

The trends are similar in that B2C operators look for reliable, resilient and proven technology, which Digitain has been delivering for over 20 years. Reputation is significant in the software supply chain and Digitain has established itself with its growing roster of clients and numerous industry awards that demonstrate those capabilities. 

From a product perspective, providing full omnichannel delivery and experience is a crucial requisite for operator brands, and being enabled to personalise the experience on the front end with robust PAM risk management to generate revenue opportunities is critical to an operator to scale.

Furthermore, people and experience are essential. Our team has extensive operational and local market knowledge, which can’t be underestimated. Our people are one of Digitain’s most significant assets in delivering the localised solution for clients. 

Future Plans of the Firm for the rest of the year, and upcoming shows you will be attending.

November is busy as we attend three shows: SBC Summit Latinoamerica in Florida, SiGMA Europe in Malta, BEGE in Sofia, Bulgaria, Scandinavian Gaming Show in Stockholm (Sweden) and EGR Italy briefing awards in Rome. Then, it shall be a short rest to plan for 2024 and ICE!
