(Rio de Janeiro, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Fernando Mora – Sportradar Business Development Executive, granted an interview to SoloAzar in which he reaffirmed the company’s leadership at SBC Summit Rio 2026 by highlighting how its data, technology, and AI-driven solutions are transforming the betting and iGaming ecosystem, as Brazil moves into a new regulatory phase.
Sportradar data, technology and AI-driven capabilities highlighted at SBC Summit Rio
“At SBC Summit Rio, Sportradar showcased how its data, technology and AI-driven capabilities support operators across the entire betting and iGaming ecosystem. Conversations at the booth focused on how advanced analytics, automation and real-time data can help operators optimize the full player lifecycle, from acquisition and engagement to retention and personalization. What differentiates Sportradar is its unique position at the intersection of sports, media and betting," said Fernando Mora.
"By combining premium sports rights, data and scalable technology, the company helps partners create more engaging betting experiences while driving operational efficiency and long-term value in regulated markets. In Brazil, another key differentiator is our fully dedicated local team, which brings deep knowledge of the country’s regulatory landscape as well as its regional and cultural specificities, enabling us to better support partners in this fast-evolving market”.
Mora commented that Sportradar participation at SBC Summit Rio was very positive. “The event once again demonstrated the growing maturity and relevance of the Brazilian market within the global gaming industry. Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to connect with operators, partners and other industry stakeholders, exchanging insights on market developments and exploring new collaboration opportunities. These conversations are particularly valuable at a time when Brazil is entering a new regulatory phase and the ecosystem is rapidly evolving. I also participated in a panel focused on how the next generation of casino hits is being built.”
During the discussion, I shared insights on how cutting-edge technologies, data-driven tools and smarter game design are transforming the way operators create more engaging, immersive and scalable casino experiences. We also explored how in-game mechanics and innovation strategies can help companies differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market, highlighting the factors that are driving success in today’s casino industry.
With the recent regulatory framework in the Brazilian market, how do you believe your company is positioning itself to take advantage of the opportunities in Brazil? Brazil is one of the most important growth markets for the global betting industry, and the establishment of a regulatory framework creates a more structured and sustainable environment for operators and technology partners. Sportradar is well positioned to support this new phase by providing operators with the technology, data and integrity solutions required to operate successfully in regulated markets. Our experience working with sports organizations, regulators and betting operators worldwide allows us to contribute to a safer, more transparent and more efficient ecosystem as the Brazilian market continues to develop.
Brazil’s Betting Market Matures
"The next phase of Brazil’s sports betting ecosystem will be defined by consolidation and institutional maturity. The first year of regulation focused on establishing the legal framework and licensing operators. The next step is strengthening enforcement, improving oversight mechanisms, and ensuring that the regulated market can operate on a level playing field. One important milestone will be the continued fight against illegal operators, which remains one of the main challenges for the sector. Strengthening monitoring, blocking unlicensed platforms, and reinforcing cooperation between regulators, technology providers, and law enforcement will be essential to ensure that the benefits of regulation reach consumers and the broader sports ecosystem".
“In this regard, Sportradar is a vital partner, providing integrity solutions and market intelligence that help identify and neutralize threats, protecting the regulated market. Another key development will be ensuring regulatory stability and legal certainty for market participants. Even in an election year, it will be important that the sector continues to operate within a predictable and secure legal environment, without becoming the target of narratives that undermine the progress achieved during the f irst year of regulation. While the betting market is dynamic and constantly evolving, operators need a known, controlled, and predictable framework in order to operate and thrive, ensuring sustainable growth and stronger long-term competitiveness,” he concluded.
