(Madrid).- The Director General of Gambling Regulation, Mikel Arana, represented Spain at the international colloquium "Addiction to Money Games: A Major Collective Game," organized by the ANJ (National Association of Gambling Companies) in the French Senate.

The Director General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ) , Mikel Arana Etxezarreta , participated this Friday in the international conference on gambling addiction organized by the Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) , the gambling regulatory body in France.

The event, entitled “Addiction aux jeux d'argent: un enjeu collectif majeur” (Gambling Addiction: A Major Collective Challenge), took place at the Palais du Luxembourg , the seat of the French Senate , and brought together European authorities, experts and regulators to discuss the risks of problem gambling and the need for joint international action.

The colloquium was opened and closed by Isabelle Falquot-Pierrotin, president of the ANJ, and featured presentations by prominent figures such as Heather Wardle, president of the Lancet Public Health Commission on Gambling, and Guillaume Airagnes, director of the French Observatory of Drugs and Addictive Tendencies, among other experts in the fields of health, research, and gambling regulation.

Spain's participation in these forums reinforces its commitment to responsible online gaming regulation , the exchange of best practices , and international cooperation on policies to prevent gambling addiction .
