(Cape Town).- Clarion Gaming’s ICE Africa Digital is taking place this week, with leading operators, supplier executives and key lawmakers set to appear over three days of discussion and debate.

Three days of industry discussion and insight at ICE Africa Digital

Among the speakers are executives from operators such as Sun International, MelBet and BetKing; regulators from Ghana, Mozambique and South Africa; and suppliers such as Sportradar, Betgenius and Kiron Interactive.

The 2020 event programme is focused on three overarching themes:

Covid-19 impact and recovery; product and marketing; and new markets. Speakers from across the continent will provide insights on issues such as regulation, product development, marketing strategy and the African industry’s post-pandemic recovery.

This year’s content, available on the Swapcard platform, is available to stream live or watch on-demand, with registration free.

Day one looked at how gambling is recovering from its Covid-19 shutdown in multiple African markets, starting with a keynote speech from one of the most influential figures in South African gambling regulation, Nkoatse Mashamaite, director of gambling law and policy at the country’s Department of Trade and Industry.

On day two the focus shifted to product and marketing, bringing together experts to discuss the performance of core verticals such as sports betting and lottery. ICE Africa Digital also marks the first time iGB Affiliate content becomes part of the main agenda, with leading affiliates and marketing specialists discussing strategies to build an audience across the continent.

The event concludes tomorrow with a third day of discussion on new markets. At a time when African territories are growing in strategic importance, and local businesses are developing leading brands, day three’s speakers will explain the key considerations necessary to ensure a successful launch.

While we were unable to put on ICE Africa as a physical event, ICE Africa Digital provides the same level of insight and exclusive content that has made the live show so popular,ICE Africa Digital event director, Greg Saint, said. “This is one of the strongest speaker line-ups we have ever had.”
