(Madrid, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Following AffPapa Conference Madrid 2026, WAYZEN CEO Nugzar Ramishvili discusses the industry's growing reliance on AI, the enduring value of human expertise, and why trust and partnership will define the next era of iGaming growth.
Human Expertise Remains the Missing Piece
Following your participation in the 2026 edition of AffPapa Conference Madrid, what were the main market trends and demands that WAYZEN identified among operators, affiliates, and B2B providers?
"Madrid confirmed something we've been noticing for quite some time. The industry is investing heavily in technology, AI, and automation—which is absolutely the right direction. But at the same time, the human side of the business is often being overlooked.
Many companies are adding more tools, yet they're still struggling with execution because technology alone doesn't make better decisions. Experience does.
We had conversations with operators at very different stages of growth, but they all shared a similar challenge: they weren't looking for another supplier. They were looking for people who genuinely understand the business and can help them navigate complexity.
I believe the next stage of iGaming won't be defined by who has the most technology. It will be defined by who combines great technology with the right people behind it".
From Features to Outcomes
WAYZEN presents itself as a comprehensive technology partner for the iGaming industry. What aspects of its solutions ecosystem generated the most interest during the event in Madrid?
"What attracted people wasn't a specific product—it was the way we think.
Most technology companies present a list of features. We prefer to talk about outcomes.
Visitors appreciated that we approach every project as a long-term partnership rather than a software implementation. We combine technology with operational knowledge, helping partners make better decisions instead of simply providing another platform.
That reflects our brand perfectly. WAYZEN is built around the belief that technology should empower people, not replace them. Our role is to remove complexity so operators can focus on growing their business with confidence".
The Evolution of Operators' Expectations
With over 15 years of experience in the sector, how do you assess the evolution of the technological needs of online casino and sports betting operators in recent years?
"Technology has evolved tremendously, but I think the biggest shift has happened in expectations.
Years ago, operators mainly needed reliable software. Today, they expect technology to be intelligent, flexible, scalable, and capable of adapting to different markets almost instantly.
But despite all these advances, one thing hasn't changed: successful businesses are still built by experienced people.
AI can automate processes, dashboards can generate insights, and platforms can process millions of transactions—but they cannot replace industry knowledge, strategic thinking, or strong partnerships.
That's why we continue to invest just as much in our team as we do in technology. We believe both need to evolve together".
Building Technology Around Real Problems
The company emphasizes the importance of combining technology with human expertise. How does this philosophy translate into product development and daily customer relations?
"This philosophy influences everything we do.
Whenever we develop something new, we don't start by asking, "What feature should we build?" We start by asking, "What problem is our partner trying to solve?"
That mindset comes from experience. Most of our team has spent years working inside the iGaming industry, so we understand the operational realities behind every decision.
The same applies to our customer relationships. We don't see ourselves as a vendor delivering software and moving on. We become part of our partners' journey, staying involved as their business grows, offering guidance, sharing responsibility, and adapting alongside them.
For us, human-centric isn't a marketing phrase—it's how we work every day"
Trust as the Industry's Next Competitive Advantage
Looking ahead, what are WAYZEN's main objectives and areas for expansion in the global iGaming industry over the next few years?
"Our ambition isn't simply to become a bigger technology company. We want to become one of the industry's most trusted partners.
As iGaming becomes more competitive and more technology-driven, we believe trust, expertise, and genuine collaboration will become even more valuable.
Over the coming years, we'll continue expanding into new markets while strengthening the ecosystem around our partners' businesses. But just as importantly, we'll keep investing in the people behind WAYZEN.
Our brand is built on a simple belief: technology creates opportunities, but people create lasting success.
That's the future we want to contribute to—not only by building better solutions, but by building stronger partnerships and helping the industry grow in a more sustainable, human way".
