2 minutos de lectura
(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- During "Women's Month," SoloAzar celebrates the achievements of women who, through hard work, talent and perseverance, have paved the way in sectors historically dominated by men. Jessica Luna, Senior Director of Sales for Strategic Accounts in Latin America at IGT, is one of them. With more than 25 years of experience, she has left an indelible mark in the gaming industry, a sector characterized by its dynamism and constant challenges.

Her Beginnings in the Gaming Industry
Jessica began her professional career in media and events. Her transition to the gaming industry came naturally, thanks to her experience in marketing and public relations. "My background was television production, journalism, and event production. This made it much easier for me to start working in casino operations 25 years ago,” she comments, highlighting the importance of her training in such a vibrant environment as the casino industry. Along the way, Jessica moved from the operational side to the supplier side, where she has held a prominent position for more than 23 years, in which she describes as “an unforgettable journey, full of challenges, adventures, and many lessons to learn.”
The world of entertainment and gaming, according to Jessica, is a sector full of energy, dynamism, and creativity, where the goal is to offer moments of fun and satisfaction to customers. “This world of show-business and entertainment is full of fantasy and excitement for our customers as well. We must know how to present it in that category,” she enthuses.
A path of personal and professional growth
Although the gaming industry has traditionally been dominated by men, Jessica Luna has managed to stand out without feeling that her gender has been an obstacle. In her experience, she has found support from both her bosses and her clients, who have valued her dedication and professionalism. “Honestly, I consider my path to have been honest, transparent, and filled with opportunities. Overall, I've had the pleasure of working with gentlemen and industry professionals, which allowed my career to develop without major setbacks,” she asserts.
For Jessica, the key to her success has always been maintaining a professional, committed, and responsible attitude. In her opinion, the gaming industry, beyond its challenges, has been a great platform for her personal and professional growth, and has opened doors for her and other women who wish to enter the sector.
The Impact of Women in the Gaming Industry
Luna is optimistic about how female representation has increased in the industry in recent years. “I'm very happy to see the increase in the number of women in the sector, providing their strength, energy and desire to do things better,” she comments. She also highlights how women are making a difference in key areas such as operations, technology and sales. According to Jessica, the gaming industry not only changes the lives of those who work in it, but also those of customers and the community at large. “This work creates collateral opportunities, jobs, collaborators, and new positions. That's priceless,” she reflects on the social impact that the sector has.
Advice for the New Generations
Jessica Luna is a role model for young women who want to enter the world of gaming and technology. Her advice is clear: “Go ahead, be consistent, responsible and disciplined. This is a sector where you must be organized, responsible, and trustworthy. Your name has a value, and that's what allows you to build your personal brand.”
International Women's Day: A Reminder of Female Strength
International Women's Day has a very special meaning for Jessica, as she considers it a reminder of the effort and dedication that women contribute to all areas of life, from home to work. “Happy Women's Day to all the warriors who go out to work every day, who are the breadwinners of our families, and who have overcome adversity. There are no such things as small dreams; dreams are meant to be fulfilled, and a woman demonstrates that now and always.”
During this Women's Month, SoloAzar recognizes and celebrates women like Jessica Luna, who with their work, passion, and determination are transforming the gaming industry and serving as an inspiration for future generations.
