(Douglas).- Altenar has reacted quickly to regulatory changes in Denmark by obtaining a licence as a game supplier in the country.

Altenar acquires Denmark gaming licence

The licence is valid for the next five years and the application process was completed quickly and efficiently thanks to the support of regulatory body the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden).

Magno Neiva, Altenar’s Head of Licensing and Regulatory Compliance, oversaw the licence application and expressed his satisfaction at a “very smooth” process.

I would like to thank the Danish Gambling Authority for their exceptional support throughout the whole process. None of our team speaks Danish and we considered using external support but we decided to talk with the regulator first and they assisted us throughout the process in English.

They were very helpful and it was one of the best experiences we have had in terms of dealing with a regulator. It is worth highlighting their comprehensive certification programme which allows Altenar to be in a strong position going forward as we need to be not only certified for functional aspects but also for many security aspects.

This gives us the confidence to talk with our operators and demonstrate that we have a very good compliance solution as the Danish standards are very high. Paraphrasing a famous quote from the famous Dane, Søren Kierkegaard, licensing and compliance is not a problem, but a reality to be experienced.

Altenar is one of the first suppliers to receive a licence via the new application process, which went live at the start of September, and the company is now included on the official list of game suppliers in Denmark.

The new licence is the latest example of how Altenar’s proactive approach to compliance speeds up the licensing process, which can help clients go to market quickly and efficiently.
