Bets increased 127% in Panama

(Panama).- Total gross bets of the Gambling Control Committee registered a positive rate of 127.5% for the period January-November 2021, compared to the same period in 2020.

Bets increased 127% in Panama

Panamanian Gambling Control Committee indicates that type-A slots bets increased 129.4%, bingo halls imcreased a 260.6%, table games a 126.1%, sportsbooks halls increased 103.8% and racetracks a 87.1%.

Besides, the National Lottery registered a 142.6% increment for the period January-November 2021. Total net bets increased a 115.2%, bingo halls a 395.8%, table games a 126.6%, Type A slots a 125.% and sportsbooks events a 99.7%. National Lottery of Solidarity a 133.4%.


In other items, the FOB value of goods exports increased by 102.8%, mainly due to copper minerals and concentrates 160.2%, steel, copper and aluminum waste 103.4%, shrimp 74 .2%, watermelon 33.6%, wood 26.8%, coffee 2.6%, banana 0.5%.

On the contrary, negative rates were reported in: Fishmeal and fish oil

50.7%, pineapple 29.6%, melon 26.0%, bovine meat 17.7%, fish and fillet of fish 5.3%.

The total work contracts registered in the Ministry of Labor increased by 71.3%, in the regional offices 75.3% and in the central office 56.4%; likewise, those processed, virtually, at 126.8%.
