Cirsa closes the purchase of Peru's main sports betting operator

(Madrid).- Cirsa, the gaming company owned by Blackstone, has acquired a controlling stake in the Peruvian company Apuesta Total, the main sports betting and online gaming operator in that country. Specifically, Cirsa has acquired 70% of the acquired company, although it does not detail the amount of the transaction.

“The operation is consistent with our acquisition strategy, focused on the online field, and positions Cirsa as a key player in the emerging Peruvian online gaming and betting market, regulated since March 2024, strengthening our omnichannel strategy in Latin America” , indicates the company in a statement sent to investors. Cirsa already had a presence in Peru. There it has 19 casinos and 74 betting shops.
