(Copenhagen).- Danish online gambling operator Jackpotbet A/S has entered reconstruction proceedings as authorities and legal representatives work to prevent the company from filing for bankruptcy. The operator, licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority to provide online casino and sports betting services, has suspended operations on its platform while the restructuring process is underway.
Danish Gambling Authority Monitors Jackpotbet Situation
Jackpotbet A/S, which operates through the website jackpotbet.dk, officially entered reconstruction proceedings on April 22, 2026. The process is intended to establish a financial recovery plan aimed at avoiding insolvency and protecting creditors’ interests.
The operator currently holds a licence issued by the Danish Gambling Authority for online casino and betting activities in the regulated Danish market. However, the company’s website is presently offline, leaving customers unable to access gaming services.
The Danish Gambling Authority confirmed that it is actively monitoring developments surrounding the case and stated that additional updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
Players With Outstanding Balances Asked to Submit Claims
Law Firm DLA Piper Denmark Handling Enquiries
During the reconstruction period, all enquiries related to Jackpotbet A/S are being managed by representatives from DLA Piper Denmark Law Firm.
Players with pending withdrawals or outstanding winnings in their gambling accounts have been instructed to contact the appointed legal representatives directly in order to submit claims linked to their balances.
The situation places additional attention on player fund protection mechanisms within regulated European gambling markets, particularly in cases involving financial distress among licensed operators.
Temporary Suspension Raises Questions for Danish Market
The shutdown of Jackpotbet’s platform adds to ongoing discussions within the European online gambling sector regarding operational sustainability, compliance costs, and competitive pressures affecting smaller operators.
While no formal bankruptcy declaration has been made, reconstruction proceedings typically involve attempts to reorganize company finances, negotiate with creditors, and determine whether continued operations remain viable.
Regulatory Oversight Remains Active
The Danish Gambling Authority emphasized that the case remains under review as the reconstruction develops. For the time being, the regulator has directed affected customers to the legal team overseeing the process.
Industry observers will likely continue monitoring the case closely, particularly regarding the handling of customer balances and the future status of Jackpotbet’s Danish gambling licence.
