Michigan online gambling generates $122M in February

(Michigan).- According to figures from the Michigan Gaming Control Board, commercial and tribal internet casino gaming and sports betting operators reported a combined $145.28 million in revenue during the month of February.
Retail casino gambling (not including sports betting) was $94.7 million during the month.
On a month-over-month basis, revenue from online casino and retail/online sports betting was down 6.8% compared to January.
February internet casino gaming win was a Michigan record $122.78 million, exceeding the previous record of $121.8 million set in December 2021. Michigan kicked off online casinos in January 2021.
The internet gaming revenue was 1.3% higher than in January.
Gross sports betting revenue (online and retail) was $22.5 million. Total handle during February was $398.4 million, a fall of 19.8% compared with January’s numbers.
Compared with February 2021 results, monthly internet gaming adjusted gross receipts were up 47% and internet sports betting adjusted gross receipts rose 63.4%.
For the first two months of 2022, internet gaming adjusted gross receipts totaled $219.7 million, and aggregate internet sports betting adjusted gross sports betting receipts were $15.2 million.
