Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Reports a Revenue Increase of 6% in September

(Harrisburg, PA).- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) announced that total revenue from all gaming activities, including fantasy contests, reached $535.8 million in September 2025 — marking a 5.92% rise over the $505.9 million recorded in the same month last year.
Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the PGCB include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals (VGTs). The PGCB has posted separate reports for these types of gaming on its website, https://gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov/.
Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $227,853,311* during September 2025.
The following chart compiles all revenue generated in September 2025 by casinos, along with fantasy contests and VGTs operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated in September 2024.

This September’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $193,990,081, a 1.51% decrease in revenue when compared to the $196,959,217 generated in September 2024.
The number of slot machines in operation in September 2025 was 24,331 compared to 24,558 at the casinos in September 2024.

Video Gaming Terminals
Total adjusted revenue for September 2025 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,341,931, or 0.60% lower than September 2024 when revenue was $3,362,043. By the end of September 2025, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at 74 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at 72 establishments at this time last year.
