World Experts Hired for Safer Gambling Audit

(London).- The internationally recognised Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4) has been appointed to undertake an audit of the responsible gambling policies, procedures and practices that are in place at the MERKUR UK subsidiary Regal Gaming Technologies.
Regal, which supplies digital gaming equipment to the UK pub and leisure sectors employees 360 staff, 80% of whom are field-based.
Following its findings G4 will recommend a bespoke programme of initiatives covering topics including training, customer engagement, gambling support services for staff and responsible gambling marketing guidelines.
MERKUR UK General Manager, Sascha Blodau, who spearheads the company’s 360 safer gambling Program stated: “While no one working at Regal is consumer-facing, our approach to safer gambling is to involve the entire team irrespective of their role. Having a clear understanding of what we mean by safer gambling improves awareness and helps establish a culture of responsibility.”
He added: “When we launched the 360 Program in Autumn 2021 our aim was to deliver the most effective safer gambling undertakings in the UK industry so we could protect the very small percentage of players who may experience problems with gambling.
“Working with the experts at G4 is another example of what we are doing as a business to ensure that gambling entertainment remains enjoyable for all of our customers.”
The G4 consultancy has worked on the development of responsible gambling policy in jurisdictions including the Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta and Sweden and is recognised as being world experts in the field.
