Casino Superintendence begins process of granting operating permit for an available quota in Chilean region

(Santiago).- Through Exempt Resolution No. 929 of December 4, 2024, the Superintendency of Gambling Casinos (SCJ) began a new granting process for one (1) gambling casino operating permit in the Aysén Region, in consideration of the quota that will become available as a result of the expiration of the permit authorized to the company Casino de Juegos Coyhaique S.A., in April 2027.
The technical bases, as well as the Gambling Casino Operating Permit Application System (SOPO) and its user manual, can be downloaded through the following link from the institutional website until April 20, 2025.
In this way, the preparation phase begins of projects, for which those interested in applying for an operating permit have a period of 90 business days until the delivery of these at the hearing for the Presentation of Technical and Economic Offers, which is scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the premises of the Superintendency, located at Morandé No. 360, 4th floor, Santiago.
Likewise, within a period of ten business days, that is, until Thursday, December 26, 2024, the period of consultations and requests for clarifications to the technical bases will take place, which can be made through the email consultasprocesocuponacional@scj.gob.cl.
Meanwhile, the Superintendency has a period of fifteen days to respond to them.
