Blueprint Operations passes safer gambling audit
⏱ 2 min read
(London).- MERKUR UK believes that safer gambling should run through all of its businesses irrespective of whether they have any contact with consumers.
The Blueprint Operations brand, which creates and supplies gaming machines sited in pubs, high street gaming entertainment centres, bingo clubs, motorway service stations and seaside arcades, has become the latest member of the MERKUR UK family to complete a safer gambling audit. The audit is undertaken by the internationally recognised G4 consultancy which has worked on implementing safer gambling policy in countries including the Netherlands, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Malta and Sweden.
Blueprint Operations follows sister businesses Regal Gaming Technologies, MERKUR Slots and MERKUR Bingo in completing the G4 Audit.
Sascha Blodau, General Manager, MERKUR UK believes in building a company-wide awareness of safer gambling. He stated: “When we launched our 360 Safer Gambling Program in Autumn 2020 it was with a robust commitment to set new standards in the delivery of safer gambling across the entire low-stake gambling entertainment sector here in the UK.
“Safer gambling comprises a set of undertakings all of which are driven by a philosophy that permeates the entire team. To help achieve this we have opted to involve all our brands irrespective of whether they are consumer-facing or B2B operations.”
“Having a holistic, company-wide understanding of what safer gambling entails improves awareness and helps establish a culture of responsibility. Our aim is to ensure that gambling entertainment remains an enjoyable activity for all our customers. Working with the experts at G4 is another example of what we are doing as a business to identify and protect the very small percentage of customers who may experience problems.”
