Brighton (Brighton).- CHIPS Charity, set to deliver its 800th wheelchair in 2026, has been confirmed as the official charity partner for iGB L!VE this July. The landmark B2B showcase, now in its second London edition, will spotlight CHIPS’ mission alongside the industry’s leading event.
Born out of the land-based gambling industry, the registered charity provides bespoke wheelchairs to young people whose families are unable to access or fund the equipment that they require. CHIPS Chairs are designed and engineered to meet the specific physiological needs of each recipient and can cost up to £9,000.
CHIPS co-founder Linda Lindsay said she is delighted to be partnering with WorldGaming (formerly Clarion Gaming) to raise vital funds for children who have been deprived of the freedom and independence that powered wheelchairs provide. She explained: "I have seen the strain and stress that parents experience when they learn that their child does not qualify for a powered wheelchair.. The qualification tests can be extremely cruel and, in some cases, children who can walk only a few metres are deemed ineligible, even though they quickly struggle to stand beyond that extremely short distance – which is why CHIPS fulfils such an important role."
She added: "There's no doubt that CHIPS chairs transform lives providing youngsters with the freedom and independence that so many of us understandably take for granted. CHIPS was founded by colleagues working in the land-based casino sector and I'm very much looking forward to introducing our work and explaining our vision to iGaming professionals and businesses at iGB L!VE."
WorldGaming will be announcing a programme of activations to build the profile of CHIPS Charity with the international community of iGaming professionals who will be attending the tier 1 business event which showcases game-changing technologies, provides access to market insights, and delivers high-quality curated networking including exclusive industry gatherings.
The 2025 edition of iGB L!VE which was the first to be held in London, set a new visitation record of 20,227 a figure that was 16 percent up on the previous high of 17,498 set in 2024. iGB L!VE '25 also underlined its international credentials with attendees travelling to the show from 149 nations, up from the 2024 figure of 131.
