(Sofia).- Amusnet, Bulgaria’s leading software company in 2024, has reaffirmed its commitment to shaping the future of technology by investing nearly BGN 400,000 in the complete renovation of a lecture hall at the Technical University of Sofia.
As the new academic year begins, students in engineering and IT programs will now benefit from a state-of-the-art learning environment designed to meet evolving educational and industry standards. This strategic initiative highlights Amusnet’s long-term vision to empower the next generation of tech professionals with the tools, facilities, and opportunities necessary to succeed in an increasingly competitive digital economy.
At the official opening ceremony, the university’s Rector, Prof. Georgi Venkov, and Amusnet CEO, Ivo Georgiev, jointly inaugurated the modernized hall and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This agreement lays the foundation for future collaborative efforts, including hackathons, guest lectures, and career development events.
According to Ivo Georgiev, “Investing in education is investing in the future. With this renovation, we’re not just modernizing infrastructure—we’re contributing to the development of Bulgaria’s human capital and technological progress.” Prof. Venkov emphasized the university’s commitment to aligning with industry needs, stating that the upgrade is "a critical step in offering students modern conditions for learning and growth."
The revamped lecture hall now meets contemporary European standards, featuring:
High-efficiency lighting and climate control systems
Integrated multimedia and presentation technologies
252 ergonomic seats for enhanced student comfort and engagement
This facility transformation represents more than a physical upgrade—it supports the delivery of high-quality, tech-driven academic programs and creates a more dynamic, interactive educational experience.
The initiative is part of a broader commitment from Amusnet to support the educational sector. In 2024, the company also donated servers to the Technical University of Sofia and the Technical University of Gabrovo, helping modernize digital infrastructure and enhance research capabilities.
Through this partnership, Amusnet aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and real-world skills that align with market demands. The collaboration marks a new chapter in fostering innovation, talent development, and future-ready education in Bulgaria.
