Jaap Wieland Appointed as Independent Chair of Ksa’s Objections Advisory Committee

(The Hague).- The Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) has named Jaap Wieland as the third independent chair of its Objections Advisory Committee, strengthening the legal expertise of the regulatory body.
Effective July 15, the Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) appointed Jaap Wieland as an independent chair of the Objections Advisory Committee for a three-year term. He joins current chairs Adriane Koppe and Monique van Oers.
Wieland is a lawyer specializing in general and economic administrative law, bringing valuable legal insight to the committee. His previous experience includes roles as a lecturer at the University of Amsterdam’s Faculty of Law and as a legal advisor within the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State.
With this appointment, the Ksa continues to bolster its governance and transparency in handling objections and regulatory decisions related to gambling licensing and enforcement.
The addition of Wieland’s legal perspective is expected to enhance the quality and consistency of administrative reviews, aligning with the authority’s mission to ensure a safe and fair gambling environment in the Netherlands.
