The Platform for Sustainable Gaming and the FES project receive a 10,000-euro donation from ICE for development in Catalonia

This financial support will allow the promotion of projects focused on the prevention of addictions, support for vulnerable groups and the promotion of sporting integrity in Catalonia.

The donation is part of a total fundraising of €65,000 generated thanks to the generosity of several leading companies in the sector, including Flutter, Acordjoc, Novomatic, Grupo Orenes and Cirsa, as well as prominent donors such as Playtech, Betsson Group and Alea. These funds are mainly intended to benefit non-profit organisations working on addiction prevention and the promotion of positive values.

FES Project: training, education and awareness-raising

The FES Project currently comprises 3 specialised branches that work together to achieve the same final objective: Training, Educating and Raising Awareness.

FES Project: prevention of addictions in minors and support for their families. This programme addresses problems related to the excessive use of screens, the Internet, video games, gambling and mobile devices, offering prevention and support tools to adolescents and their families.

FES DIScapacidad: prevention of behavioural addictions for the group of adults with disabilities, with the aim of promoting healthy leisure and appropriate use of new technologies.

FES INTegridad: a campaign aimed at promoting honesty and ethics in the sports field, by defending, raising awareness and promoting integrity in sport.

“The ICE donation and the support of companies in the sector reinforce the commitment of the PJS and the FES project to build a sustainable gaming model, focused on education, prevention and inclusion. This support allows us to continue working for a positive impact in Catalonia, contributing to the well-being of local communities and the development of a responsible gaming sector,” explained Cristina García, spokesperson for the Platform for Sustainable Gaming.

ICE Barcelona: a new stage for the gaming sector

After 80 years of history in London, ICE, the most important fair in the global gaming sector, is being held for the first time in Barcelona from 20 to 22 January 2025. This event marks a new chapter for both the city and the Spanish sector, offering a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration between national and international companies.

In this edition, ICE reaffirms its commitment to innovation, technology and social responsibility by positioning the Spanish sector as a global benchmark. The donation to the PJS and FES is a concrete example of the positive impact that this fair can generate.
