(Argentina, Exclusive SoloAzar) .- Eduardo Roberts, President of Ed Roberts, spoke exclusively with SoloAzar after his visit to the last edition of G2E in Las Vegas, a show that symbolizes the entry of the company of Argentine origin to the United States market, both in the online and in the equipment. "We will begin to produce in the United States from February 2018 to begin to enter the market," said the executive.

How was the experience as a visitor in G2E 2017?


I would say it was inspiring. Four years ago we are with the online table and until now have not seen in the market some type of development looking for control of the tables with online systems and this year I have seen about three or four products that have that trend.
Our system is very complete and controls absolutely everything that is values inside the room, that is, all the part of chips and all the money part. And not only that, but the system generates 30 items to maximize the rooms and that generates a working tool to be able to make better decisions already with a statistical support. On the other hand, we also developed the theme of online slots looking to integrate with the online tables. This not only allows the back office to have a single online accounting and know at the time what is happening in the room, but the player allows you with a slot ticket to play at a table or issue a ticket in one table and go to a slot, then allows it to be a single accounting.


Did you see at G2E any similar product?


No, none reaches the levels of performance that our product has, they all reach 20 or 30%. This generates that you can constantly see the changes in trends that are inside the room. This is a tool that allows in different areas to make decisions to lower costs and generate higher yields at the tables. The people who see the product are very satisfied, since it solves many problems from the personnel, marketing, human resources, administrative, etc. Currently in a casino of tables have to close to count all the silver and after two hours they know how it was in the room, and the forms of the administrative system fill them by hand. This product is constantly giving the states of the tables, giving a much more certain handling of the room.


How does Ed Roberts get to the North American market?


For years I have been aiming to reach the North American market and now we have achieved the maturity of business to be competing in the United States without any problem. With our strong design profile, accompanied by technology, we have achieved alliances in the United States in two fundamental lines: one in the online part, to start making demos; and in the part of equipment, reason why we will begin to produce in the United States from February of 2018 to begin to insert us in the market.


In what markets is Ed Roberts today?


Historically, the company has been in all markets from Mexico down, so to speak. Unfortunately for the economic problem in Argentina, which settled the dollar at $ 6.50 or at $ 9 and in the street was at $ 18, we had to retract those markets we had achieved and we were strong in Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina. The markets that we resume because the national economy now allows us are Mexico, Peru, the whole of the Caribbean ... and the idea now is to start manufacturing in the United States to supply all those markets without having high freight costs.


What is the assessment of your participation in Miami Games after a few months of its completion?


In my personal opinion, what refers to Argentina and bordering countries, although we have been working for many years, we are very pressured by the little development that is due to economic situations outside the company: it retracted a lot Argentina, Paraguay is flourishing very little by little, Uruguay continues on a plateau and Chile has a roof. What has allowed me to see as an entrepreneur that going to a market as competitive as Miami, we are perfectly positioned to develop in the United States and in any other market. We are now planning to develop in Europe in the near future, so we will be visiting the London fair to close deals with distributors.


Do Ed Roberts products need approvals?


All our systems have GLI, so at international level we are fully available to any market.


How do you prepare for SAGSE?


SAGSE is a show that we have attended for many years, this time we are going to show the line of equipment and the online line working all integrated. There will be tables with the online system; there will be a slot for people to see how the entire integration part interacts. That is what I am interested in seeing visitors because it is often a concept difficult to understand. On the other hand we developed is the Cashless system, which eliminates the cost of printers, acceptors, tickets; which lower the cost of the operator in many respects. This does not mean that it does not follow the traditional parallel way of functioning but it is the changes that come and the future is today. Today we need to start making decisions to generate those changes and we are not only working on that, but we are already putting the first casino with Cashless here in Argentina. Now the cashless is one more step, the TITO is old, and tomorrow will be the QR code with the phone, that our systems already bring it.


What assessment can you make this year?


A year of consolidation, of realizing that the projects that we worked so many years with so much sacrifice are competitive and is a joy for all who are working on this. Being sure that we are on the right track, this allows us to continue thinking ahead and continue developing things into the future.
