(Switzerland).- The winners of the Sportradar-sponsored Start Ups category at the Sports Technology Awards were announced via live stream on Thursday with 15 winners named across various sectors.

Winners announced in Sportradar-sponsored STA Start Up awards

Sportradar are involved in a myriad of innovation and next-gen projects to help Start Ups and new businesses off the ground, with the sponsorship of the STA Start Up awards the latest addition to an area of the company that also includes the Innovation Challenge, the Acceleradar programme and the supply of data to various hackathons.

The STA Start Ups offer an opportunity for outstanding young businesses to gain commercial advantage through third-party endorsement of their work, with entrants welcomed from bootstraps to those no more than three months out from Series A funding and with annual revenues less than £10m.

The winners were revealed via live stream on Thursday, where Rebecca Hopkins, CEO of the Sports Technology Awards, said: “The Sports Technology Awards devised these Start Ups because it was a very oversubscribed category, suggesting there was a gap in the market to serve these businesses better.

“Our faith in the vibrancy of the sports tech start up sector was repaid and the judges were treated to reviewing businesses that look set to take their place in the industry over the longer term.

“Sportradar’s commitment to this burgeoning sector is evident by the support they have given this initiative.”
