New Jersey Casino Revenue Grows While Sports Betting Declines

(Atlantic City).- The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has released May 2026 gaming revenue figures, showing modest overall growth driven by internet gaming, even as sports wagering declined.
Casino Win Shows Steady Growth
Casino win revenue for the nine Atlantic City casino hotels reached $265.6 million in May 2026, a slight increase of 0.1% compared to May 2025. Year‑to‑date casino revenue totaled $1.15 billion, reflecting a 3% rise over the same period last year.
Internet Gaming Continues to Surge
Internet gaming win for casinos and their partners hit $276.3 million in May 2026, up 11.9% from May 2025. Year‑to‑date internet gaming revenue climbed to $1.32 billion, marking a strong 14.4% increase compared to the prior year.
Sports Wagering Declines
Sports wagering gross revenue came in at $85.2 million, down 16.9% from May 2025. Year‑to‑date sports wagering revenue stood at $455.7 million, a 1% decrease compared to the previous year.
Total Gaming Revenue Tops $627 Million
Overall gaming revenue for casinos, racetracks, and their partners reached $627.1 million in May 2026, representing 2% growth year‑over‑year. Year‑to‑date total gaming revenue rose to $2.93 billion, up 7.2% from 2025. Gross revenue taxes amounted to $87.4 million for May and $419.5 million year‑to‑date.
