Casinos in Portugal Generate €65.4 Million in Q2 2025, Up 2.6% Year-Over-Year

(Lisbon).- The Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) has released its land-based gaming report for the second quarter of 2025, indicating that Portugal's casinos and machine rooms generated €65.4 million in gross revenue. This figure marks a 2.6% increase compared to the same quarter in 2024.
The sector's growth was primarily driven by the performance of automatic machines (slots), which accounted for 78.8% of total revenue and saw a 3.1% year-over-year increase58585858. Banked games such as Black-Jack/21 and American Roulette also contributed positively, with their revenues growing by 22.8% and 6.3%, respectively59595959.
Key Report Highlights:
· Casino Revenue Breakdown: Automatic machines generated €51.5 million6060. Banked games contributed €13.0 million, while non-banked games, such as poker, experienced a decline of 11.4%, generating €0.9 million61616161.
