Environmental Responsibility: FBM Foundation plants seeds for a sustainable future

In alignment with The FBM Foundation’s mission to promote education and environmental sustainability, this event had a positive impact on the orphans and caretakers at the St. Francis Learning Center Foundation, featuring a forest cleanup, a tree-planting session, and a seminar focused on planting techniques.

The FBM Foundation provided 20 fruit plants and five vegetable plants to ensure a steady source of fresh food for the children at St. Francis Learning Center Foundation, while G Hope Plant Shop, represented by Gilbert Marpa, offered five additional fruit trees and three sacks of fertilizer.

Alongside its contributions to the donation, G Hope Plant Shop also generously organized a complimentary educational seminar on planting techniques. This session, attended by FBM Foundation volunteers and Aeta guardians, enabled participants to develop practical skills to cultivate and maintain a healthy plantation.

A total of 15 dedicated FBM Foundation volunteers joined the “A Tree For The Future” initiative. Together, volunteers and local guardians laid the foundation of a self-sustaining garden that will not only provide food but also strengthen the children’s connection to the nature.

Inspiring Environmental Responsibility

The event produced a multifaceted impact, highlighting the importance of planting fruit and vegetable-bearing plants to foster community connection. Through this initiative, FBM Foundation and G Hope Plant Shop extended beyond environmental support by empowering the children of St. Francis Learning Center Foundation and the community of Subic with skills and resources that promote long-term sustainability.

Through “A Tree For The Future,” the FBM Foundation is fostering a greener, more sustainable future. This initiative not only ensures that the children have access to fresh, nutritious food but also provides the knowledge and skills necessary for current and future generations to sustain these resources responsibly.

As the trees grow and bear fruit, they will serve as a reminder of the positive impact that collective efforts and environmental stewardship can have on a community. The FBM Foundation remains committed to empowering communities with resources and education, planting seeds of change one tree at a time.
