Gambling Sector in September Records Significant Fall in Betting Spend

(Denmark).- Fresh data from the Danish Gambling Authority reveals that Danes spent less on gambling in September 2025 than a year earlier, with the betting segment recording the most significant decline.
The latest monthly statistics from the Danish Gambling Authority shows that Danes' gambling spending decreased in September 2025 compared to the same month last year. The betting sector in particular experienced a larger decline.
The figures show that Danes' total gambling spend in September dropped by 0.9 percent compared to September 2024.
The largest fluctuations in spending are seen in the betting market, which decreased by 34.9 percent, while slot machines fell by 3.2 percent. Land-based casinos and online casinos experienced an increase of 7.1 percent and 15.2 percent, respectively.
