(Seoul).- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) posts KRW14.6 billion (US$10 million) in Q3 2025 profit, fueled by improved casino performance in Seoul and Busan despite a slight drop in total casino drop.
Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) reported a 72.8% year-on-year and 143.3% quarter-on-quarter increase in net profit to KRW14.6 billion (US$10.0 million) in the third quarter of 2025. The strong performance was supported by higher visitation numbers and improved hold rates across its three casinos in Seoul and Busan.
According to GKL’s latest filing on Tuesday, the company’s total casino drop decreased slightly by 1.95% year-on-year to KRW2.72 trillion (US$1.86 billion). However, the hold rate improved to 11.7%, up from 10.4% a year earlier. This led to a 10.9% rise in casino net sales to KRW318.7 billion (US$218 million).
Overall visitation across GKL’s casinos climbed 4.9% to 788,035 visitors in the September quarter. Seoul Dragon City welcomed 392,698 guests, followed by Gangnam COEX with 264,223 and Busan Lotte with 131,114.
While Chinese visitor numbers declined 4.6% to 336,883, arrivals from Japan surged 16.1% to 277,801, and visitors from other markets increased 9.4% to 173,351. Mass market players made up 86.2% of total visitation.
During Q3 2025, GKL operated 174 gaming tables, 354 slot machines, and 10 electronic table games (ETGs) featuring 145 terminals.
