(London, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Jessica Luna, Senior Director Strategic Accounts, Latin America at IGT, granted an interview to SoloAzar, in which she shared the highlights of 2023 and the goals and performance of the firm for 2024, as well as the expectations in the Latam region, among other topics.

"In 2024, we’ll keep focused on quality products, operational excellence and delivering results for our customers", Jessica Luna, IGT

What do you think were the most influential facts or developments during 2023 for the firm?

For IGT, 2023 was marked with a variety of achievements throughout Latin America that are giving us great momentum for 2024. Firstly, we established IGT’s PeakSlant32 and PeakSlant49 cabinets as the preferred hardware in the region among operators and players. The solutions’ ergonomic design and quality components deliver high-impact gaming experiences and provide the ideal delivery mechanism for our compelling video content. Similarly, we expanded the installed base for our multi-level progressive (MLP) games through leading games such as Prosperity Link on the PeakSlant49 cabinet and Egyptian Link on the PeakSlant32 cabinet. Soon, we’ll release new base games for both titles, and we anticipate that they’ll be well-received by the market.

What trends do you see in the gaming industry and how is the company positioned to take advantage of them during 2024?

I believe we’ll hear a lot about cloud-based technologies across the industry in 2024. Last year IGT deployed its cloud-based Floor Manager technology at multiple properties in various regions throughout Latin America. Floor Manager is a unique solution that gives operators access to a wide library of IGT games and enables them to analyze game performance metrics, adjust content and modify game settings remotely and near-instantly. Our customers are finding tremendous value in this solution as it positions them to cater to their guests’ play preference, increase personalization and optimize their gaming floors. Given that Floor Manager is a relatively simple solution to deploy, and it delivers so many benefits, I believe we’ll see increased customer demand for this technology in 2024.

What are your expectations for the gaming industry in 2024 (in terms of new products releases, new markets, new technologies, etc.)?

In Latin America, Peru and Brazil currently hold the most promise for 2024 in terms of regulatory advancements of the online market. Given the recent change in government in Argentina, there is also optimism that the political and economic climates in the region will create new opportunities across the sector. Overall, there is considerable enthusiasm and positivity in the region related to opening new markets and lines of business.

What strategies and projects does the company have in mind for this year?

IGT’s primary objective is to offer unique entertainment experiences that are aligned with the preferences and opportunities of individual markets. Thanks to our global test bank program, we have successfully diversified our regional content portfolio and gained the loyalty of new players. In 2024, we’ll keep this focus on quality products, operational excellence and delivering results for our customers.
