(Las Vegas, Nevada, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Dave Kubajak, Global SVP of Sales, Marketing & Operations at JCM, granted an interview to SoloAzar, in which he made an evaluation of the firm´s performance during last year, and also anticipated his expectations for 2024.

"JCM is ready to help the market move forward safely and securely with our technologies", Dave Kubajak, JCM

What do you think were the most influential facts or developments during 2023 for the firm?

At JCM Global, our technologies help our customers do three things: boost security, increase efficiencies, and enhance the guest experience. Our global D&D team is always moving the industry forward with landmark products that set new standards, and this year was no exception.

For example, we were thrilled that our ICB ASAP was voted the most innovative new technologies in the EILERS-FANTINI G2E Vendor Survey – 2023. ICB ASAP both boosts security and increases efficiencies by using industrial-grade robotics to process cash boxes. Our ICB cash box system reduces multiple points of human error, and now ICB ASAP builds on that and makes the drop and count process even more efficient and secure.

As for enhancing the guest experience, our line of Digital Signage Solutions, or what we call DSS, continued to be incredibly well received by customers of all sizes, and we installed many different types of indoor and outdoor DSS products. Then at G2E, we introduced our transparent DSS CLEAR, which was voted one of the most innovative new technologies in the EILERS-FANTINI G2E Vendor Survey – 2023.

What trends do you see in the gaming industry and how is the company positioned in order to take advantage of them during 2024?

Consumer choice will continue to be a trend, and operators need to meet consumers where they are and offer them the fastest, most secure options to pay for their play. Whether that’s cash or mobile payments, JCM has leading solutions to help our customers with both.

Of course, the elephant in the room that everyone is already talking about is AI, and how it’s new and how it may or may not change things. However, the fact is, JCM’s iVIZION, FUZION, and ICB systems have been utilizing AI technology for a long time. They use vast amounts of collected data and complex algorithms to enhance a casino’s security, efficiency, and overall operation. We continue to be excited about leading the industry in this area.

What are your expectations for the gaming industry in 2024 (in terms of new products releases, new markets, new technologies, etc.)?

The industry in general will continue to grow, and that’s in large part due to the normalization of supply chains. That is allowing the industry to move forward in many ways, including sports betting, mobile payment solutions, and omnichannel systems. From a specific regional perspective, the Philippines is an emerging market that’s exciting for us at JCM, and we are ready to help the market move forward safely and securely with our technologies.

What projects do the company have in mind for the coming year?

Let’s start with the U.S. We have many DSS projects on the horizon, both indoor and outdoor. We are also excited for new properties that will be opening with our FUZION system, which will give them countless possibilities for security, efficiency, and guest experience enhancements. And we will also be announcing additional improvements to ICB ASAP.

And in LatAm, we are working closely with our distributors to bring the UBA Pro bill validator to the region. It’s a highly advanced product the market has been calling for, and we will be doing a major push throughout the region with UBA Pro.
