Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue Surges 16% in December, Topping $616 M

(Harrisburg).- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced that December 2025 gaming and fantasy contest revenue reached $616.7 million, a 15.8% increase over the same month in 2024. Tax collections for the period totaled $255.8 million. The agency oversees slots, table games, online gaming, sports betting, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported that the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests during December 2025 was $616,721,216 or 15.76% above revenue generated in December 2024. The resulting tax revenue during December of this year was $255,804,498*.
Types of gaming regulated by the agency are slot machines and table games in casinos, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (“VGTs”),

The following chart compiles all revenue generated in December 2025 by casinos, along with fantasy contests and VGTs operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated in December 2024.

December’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $186,834,827, a 7.54% decrease in revenue when compared to the $202,073,713 generated in December 2024.
The number of slot machines in operation in December 2025 was 24,158 compared to 24,448 at the casinos in December 2024.

Casino games offered online generated a record amount of monthly gross revenue totaling $259,719,489 during December 2025. Compared to revenue of $223,652,312 in December 2024, this represents an increase of 16.13%.

December 2025 total sports wagering handle was $797,436,934, 10.74% below the December 2024 total of $893,371,609. However, the taxable revenue figure for December 2025 was $84,812,544, or nearly 300% higher when compared to December 2024, when taxable revenue was $30,532,516.

Video Gaming Terminals
Total adjusted revenue for December 2025 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,382,834, 0.63% lower than December 2024 when revenue was $3,404,329. By the end of December 2025, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 75 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 74 establishments at this time last year.
