(Chile).- Net of inflation, the month's results are 3.8% lower than those observed in March 2022, with gross gaming revenues of $46,767 million at the country's 25 casinos. Below you can see the statistical report.

Tax contribution of the gaming casinos authorised by law reaches usd 21 million in March 2023.

The 22 casinos  contributed a total of usd 21 million in taxes in March, exceeding March 2022 taxes by 0.7% in real terms.

The aggregate amounts at the industry level are divided into $6.831 billion for the specific gaming tax, which goes to regional governments and municipalities to finance development projects, as well as $6.904 billion associated with the payment of VAT on gaming revenues and $2.574 billion for the gaming room entrance tax, which goes to the nation's general funds.

Regional governments and municipalities receive the funds from the specific gaming tax in the month following the payment of the gaming tax by the operating companies. Therefore, these resources will be received in June 2023.

It should be noted that, since June 2022, the Enjoy Pucón casino has been operating in Pucón, which was not considered in the March 2022 tax contribution. This casino generated approximately usd 64 million in taxes in the month.

The distribution of taxes collected from the March 2023 operation is shown in the table below.
