The gaming industry in Panama has an economic recovery of 98%

(Panama City).- The gaming industry, which was hit during the Covid-19 pandemic, has already recovered by 98%, as stated by the Executive Secretary of the Gaming Control Board, Manuel Sánchez, during the realization of the Seventh Ibero-American Gaming Summit.
Sánchez mentioned that the gaming industry is already recovering and there is little left to do, since truly Panama is a country where, at the end of the road, Panamanians play and have fun, playing not only in the casino but also in the lottery, for that reiterated that the industry to take a ride that was hit has recovered.
"I realize daily with the numbers, and I calculate that this month looks very good, and with the numbers that we manage in the Gambling Control Board, for the moment we calculate that for the next month we will be at 100%" Sanchez said.
In the same way, the Executive Secretary of the Gaming Control Board indicated that in order to continue improving the economic recovery of the sector, they have great challenges for the rest of the year, and he cited as an example that the launch of the instant game is coming on May 25. , also the televised bingo that existed before, but had some legal problems due to the fact that bingo was not regulated, as well as the responsible gambling campaign.
The gaming industry in Panama generates more than US$80 million for the State, money that goes to highways, schools, rural areas, among other things, they also pay more than US$45 million a year for rent in commercial premises, it contributes to Social Security more than US$8 million a year, not to mention the more than 10,000 direct permanent jobs in Panama, products of the gaming industry and the racetrack, since they also regulate the Presidente Remón Racetrack.
