Altenar, a leading sportsbook provider, has joined CIBELAE, the organization representing state lotteries and regulated gaming operators across Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.
Founded in 1988, CIBELAE promotes collaboration, responsible gaming, and the adoption of best practices among both public and private operators throughout the Ibero-American region. The organization is also a recognized member of the World Lottery Association, backed by some of the most established lottery and gaming authorities worldwide.
The membership represents a strategic step in Altenar’s ongoing expansion across regulated markets in Latin America and Europe, strengthening its ties with key institutional stakeholders. It also creates new opportunities to contribute to industry dialogue, drive innovation, and support the sustainable growth of regulated gaming ecosystems.
While Ibero-American markets offer significant growth potential, they also present challenges such as fragmented regulatory frameworks, evolving compliance requirements, and strong localization needs.
