(Denmark).- Badminton Europe announced an agreement to extend their partnership with Sportradar for the next six years; a partnership that has been in place since 2015. The agreement focuses on Audio-visual Betting & Gaming Rights and Data Collection and Distribution rights for tournaments under the auspices of Badminton Europe, which will include around 40,000 matches during the contract period.

Badminton Europe Chair of the Business Committee Robbert de Kock stated: "The new agreement with Sportradar reflects the strong foundation of our collaboration. I am pleased that this partnership has been renewed, allowing us to focus on enhancing our commercial strategy in the coming years."

The tournaments covered by the agreement are the European Championships, BEC International Challenge, International Series, and Future Series tournaments. An integral part of the agreement is the continuation of the streaming services provided on www.badmintoneurope.tv, where the audience will have access to more than 100 days of live streaming annually.

Badminton Europe’s General Secretary Brian Agerbak comments: "We are very pleased to continue the excellent and constructive partnership with Sportradar. The company has been a reliable and trustworthy partner, as demonstrated during the current contract period. Since the last agreement, we have faced an extended shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, during which we were unable to deliver the products we all hoped for. However, during that period, Sportradar was very supportive and understanding, which is characteristic of a great partner. We are excited to continue this collaboration for the next six years."

Sven Serré, President of Badminton Europe, is also happy with the agreement and states: "Of course, we are delighted to extend our partnership with Sportradar, a company that shares our core values of collaboration, integrity, excellence, and passion for the sport. We also look forward to continuing our joint efforts to bring more entertainment to a global audience through live streaming on badmintoneurope.tv, delivering top-quality live badminton. This contract aligns perfectly with our new strategic plan."

Badminton Europe will continue to benefit from Sportradar’s 20 years plus of experience and expertise in safeguarding fair play in sport. One of the key common goals between the partners is their shared commitment to supporting the integrity of the sport and contributing to a competition free from corruption.
