(Brazil).- According to the Brazilian government, clubs, federations and TV channels will have to present to the Ministry of Justice their contracts with the firms.
Not only in Chile the online betting houses are in the core of the debate. In Brazil different soccer clubs, federations and Globo TV, will have to present to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP in its Portuguese acronym) their advertising contracts with companies which are involve with the sports betting services.
The notification was sent this Tuesday to 54 organizations linked to the sport world, whom will have ten days to respond.
The iniciative was born through the National Secretary of Consumers (Senacon/MJSP) who pretend to investigate which are the companies that formalized their contracts with firms that have their headquarters out of Brazil, in tax havens.
In the particular chilean case, the deputy Jaime Mulet affirmed in the tv show “Circulo Central” that he requested an appeal to the Ministry of Justice in order to oversee the entity regulatory of Chilean soccer: “Everyone signed the application, except for one, who I can´t mentioned”.
Hernán Díaz Palma, Nelson Venegas, Andrés Giordano, Érika Olivera, Marisela Santibáñez and Sebastián Videla were the deputies who signed the application at the Ministry of Justice.
The inconsistencies that the deputies led by Mulet, request to oversee, are the illegals betting house that support the Second Division and that it´s even a link forbidden by the FIFA.
“We want the teams to bring in the soccer pitch together, and be defined that way, with no “deals”, affirmed the deputy about the motivation to present the application. “I trust and I think that the Ministry of Justice is interested in investigating this”, emphasized Mulet in dialogue with the sport show TV+.
