Newly-Launched World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe signs first partnership with Sportradar OTT

Sportradar’s world-leading OTT platform solution will become the first joint initiative of the newly formed WBSC Europe following the historic merger between European Softball Federation (ESF) and Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) last week in Paris.

The platform will provide live and on-demand streaming of a number of baseball and softball tournaments across Europe, including all Pan-European Competitions, such as the European Championships, Super6 and Youth Championships. Looking forward, Sportradar’s OTT is also set to support the national competitions and leagues of member federations in the future.

Sportradar Managing Director of OTT, Rainer Geier said: “We are very pleased to have been signed as the first partner of the new WBSC Europe. ABOUT WBSC EUROPE

The World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe (WBSC Europe) is the governing body for the sports of baseball and softball in Europe. The Confederation was formed in February 2018 when delegates of 38 baseball, softball, and combined National European Federations unanimously approved the merge of the European Softball Federation (ESF) and Confederation of European Baseball (CEB).

The two federations have been working together across various matters, including development, general operations, media and marketing for several years. The merger will see softball and baseball officially working hand-in-hand in all aspects of the sports across Europe.
