Online Betting Platforms waiting for the draft regulation of Games of Chance in Chile

Economy Commission of the Chamber of Deputies will discuss the regulations that are of utmost urgency in their first legislative process. At the same time, the industry takes stock of its support for national sports.

The Economy Commission of the Chamber of Deputies will discuss the rule, until it is fully dispatched, in the Economy Commission. In total, progress is already being made on 80% of the articles, including the provisions on liens and taxes that will affect said platforms.

Key point for this industry, which is committed to a fiscal commitment and at the same time to the development of different sports disciplines.

From the PAL they wait for the progress of this bill initiated in a message from President Gabriel Boric.

And the online gaming industry takes stock of its contribution to sport in recent times.

According to their estimates, they have contributed resources to more than 15 different disciplines, five national teams and more than 13 clubs.

In this way, more than 3,500 athletes receive this type of contributions, of which 18 of them are directly, 10 of them from Team Chile.

WHAT ARE THE DISCIPLINES THAT RECEIVE THESE SPONSORS?

Paralympic athletics, climbing, Greco-Roman wrestling, paddle tennis, rowing, Basque pelota, skateboarding, acrobatic paragliding, bodyboarding, long jump or volleyball are sports that have this sponsorship.

At the same time, federations also have these sponsorships, such as handball, basketball or volleyball, along with support for the 3×3 basketball team.

THE PAL INDUSTRY COMMITS TO COMPLETE REGULATION IN CHILE

Online betting platforms are closely watching the progress of the bill that regulates them in Congress.

And, they say, clear rules in this matter will allow contributions to be made to different sports disciplines.

In this way they want to commit support with a view to their professionalization and development in points such as purchasing implements and participating in different competitions.

But they understand the fiscal commitment that this entails to meet citizen demands in various matters.

WHEN IS THE BILL THAT REGULATES PAL IN CHILE BE VOTED?

The project will be voted on until it is fully dispatched by the Economy Commission of the Chamber of Deputies this Tuesday at 5:15 p.m.

WHAT RULES HAVE BEEN APPROVED REGARDING THE PROJECT?

According to La Tercera, the project has advanced by nearly 80% to achieve its complete dispatch.

Issues such as the jurisprudence of the Casino Superintendency in the operation of PALs or provisions on liens and taxes that will affect them have already been approved.
