(Douglas).- Founded in 1996, Peru's leading Atlantic City Casino recognized a growing need to upgrade its online sportsbook to match the premium standards of its physical venues. Consequently, they partnered with Altenar in September 2020 to deliver a high-quality, flexible betting platform that bridges the gap between their retail and digital offerings.

Powering Growth in Peru's Sports Betting: Atlantic City Casino Insights

Atlantic City Casino Selects Altenar for Scalable and Premium Sportsbook Platform

Founded in 1996, Atlantic City Casino has grown into one of Peru's leading gaming operators. Its flagship casino in Lima is widely recognised as one of the city's premier VIP gaming destinations.

As player expectations continued to evolve, the operator identified an opportunity to strengthen its online offering. While its casino brand represented quality and exclusivity, the existing sportsbook did not deliver the same level of experience, creating a gap between the online and retail products.

The partnership with Altenar began in September 2020 after Atlantic City selected the company for the quality and flexibility of its sportsbook platform.

The objective was straightforward: create a sportsbook experience that reflected the premium positioning of the Atlantic City brand while providing the scalability and reliability needed for future growth.

Altenar solution

Altenar delivered a solution that enabled the operator to:

●       Launch a premium sportsbook experience aligned with the Atlantic City brand

●       Offer a comprehensive portfolio of sports and betting markets

●       Improve operational efficiency through advanced back-office tools

●       Deliver a seamless betting experience across desktop and mobile

●       Support ongoing growth with a scalable, high-performance platform

The partnership has translated into consistent business growth. Comparing 2025 with 2023, Atlantic City achieved:

●       18% growth in turnover

●       59% increase in Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR)

Momentum has continued into 2026. During the first half of 2026, sportsbook turnover increased by 43% year-on-year compared to the same period in 2025, demonstrating sustained player engagement and increasing sportsbook performance.

Football: The Undisputed Driver of Sportsbook Activity

Football remains the clear driver of sportsbook activity, accounting for 69.21% of turnover during the first half of 2026. Tennis (12.41%) and basketball (10.29%) followed, reflecting a balanced betting portfolio supported by both global and regional competitions.

This mix of international tournaments and domestic football highlights the importance of offering extensive market coverage alongside a localised sportsbook experience.

For Atlantic City Casino, introducing Altenar's sportsbook was more than a platform migration. It was an opportunity to align every part of the business with the premium standards that have defined the brand for nearly three decades.

Today, continued growth across both turnover and GGR demonstrates how the right sportsbook technology can strengthen customer engagement, enhance the overall product offering, and support sustainable long-term success in Peru's competitive iGaming market.
