(St. Gallen).- Over 5,500 athletes, referees, and club officials in Paraná complete integrity training through Sportradar’s online platform, strengthening Brazil’s fight against match-fixing.
Sportradar, the global leader in sports technology and integrity, has partnered with the Paraná Football Federation (FPF) to expand the use of their online education platform aimed at preventing match-fixing in 2025. Already implemented across southern Brazil, the platform has trained 5,500 athletes, referees, coaching staff, and club officials, becoming one of the largest structured integrity education programs in the region.
This growth comes amid major changes in the betting market and increasing demand for transparency. The platform delivers clear, accessible content on sports integrity, including definitions of match-fixing, the operation of betting markets, tactics used by criminal networks, and the sporting, administrative, and legal consequences outlined under Brazilian law and international regulations from FIFA. The FPF monitors participant progress and issues certification upon module completion.
Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Integrity Director for LATAM, emphasized: “Education is the foundation of prevention. Training 5,500 people in Paraná demonstrates the real impact initiatives like this can have on strengthening sports integrity. The more knowledge and guidance reach athletes and professionals, the better prepared the ecosystem will be to identify risks and prevent match-fixing.”
Hélio Cury Filho, President of the Paraná Football Federation, added: “This partnership reinforces our commitment to education. The Federation is so confident in this model that we plan to expand the courses and include match delegates as well. Sharing information is the best way to prevent problems.”
The initiative complements Sportradar’s broader integrity efforts in Brazil. In 2025, the company partnered with the Ministry of Finance through SPA – the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting – and signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Sports to enhance information-sharing and integrity training. Sportradar also trained delegates from the Civil and Federal Police.
As a trusted integrity partner of FIFA, UEFA, and Conmebol, Sportradar monitors over 10,000 football matches per season in Brazil in close collaboration with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), ensuring sports remain fair, transparent, and free from corruption.
