(Brazil).- Sportradar took part in the 1st National Meeting on Combating Match-Fixing, held in Brasília, by the Ministry of Sports in partnership with the Ministries of Justice and Finance, and the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting. The meeting, held from September 29 to October 1, brought together federal and state representatives, as well as international experts, with the goal of strengthening cooperation in the fight against match-fixing in sports competitions in Brazil.
The program’s second day, dedicated to delegates from the Civil and Federal Police across all Brazilian states, Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Director of Integrity for Latin America, conducted a training session on monitoring mechanisms and detection of manipulation in sports competitions.
The session introduced methods used by the company in different countries and aimed to support the training of professionals directly involved in the investigation of sports fraud.

“This meeting is an important milestone in building high-quality public policies to protect sport. We are dealing with an extremely complex, transnational, and multifaceted crime that can only be tackled through cooperation among all stakeholders, bringing together public security, justice, sport, and betting management. Looking at global best practices, while respecting our culture and particularities, is the path to ensuring sports integrity in Brazil,” said Felippe.
The meeting also marked the continuation of the Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between Sportradar and the Ministry of Sports, which provides for the exchange of information, training, and joint actions to strengthen sports integrity in the country.
