Sports wagering contributes $4.2 million to Maryland during February

(Baltimore).- Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $4,210,511 in contributions to the state from a handle of $442,557,658 during February 2024. Sports wagering contributions go to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund, which supports public education programs.

Sports wagering contributes $4.2 million to Maryland during February

The $4.2 million contribution to the state last month was a 50.5% increase compared to the $2.8 million total generated in February 2023, according to a news release. The $442.5 million in handle was an increase of 30.4% compared to the $339.4 million total in February 2023.

Sports wagering data is tracked and reported based on the State of Maryland’s fiscal year, which runs from July 1 through June 30. During the first eight months of Fiscal Year 2024 (July 2023 through February 2024), sports wagering has contributed $37,051,266 to the state.
