Us-Bookies.com solves urgent need with guide to licensed & regulated us betting sites
⏱ 2 min read
(New York).- Next year heralds the arrival of wide-scale, licensed and regulated sports betting legislation in the United States with six states having already passed sports betting legislation. With PASPA overturned in May 2018, these six states will generate digital sports betting revenues reaching $249 million for a partial year with a compound annual growth rate at $2.5 billion, according to Eilers & Krejcik.
These revenues, however, are under threat as illegal offshore betting operators expand their marketing as a means of attracting players away from licensed and regulated sites. With more than $150 billion bet on sports annually, according to the American Gaming Association, the stakes couldn’t be higher to provide players with a clearinghouse of sites that comply with state and federal laws.
To that end, licensed operators have launched us-bookies.com – an online clearinghouse that directs each player to licensed and regulated betting sites according to the state in which they reside. Staffed by gaming professionals, the site ensures that player s place wagers safely and legally while providing them with the latest wagering information provided by professional oddsmakers, sports writers and more.
“The advent of legal sports betting across the United States demands an authoritative guide to licensed and regulated casinos,” said Alexander Donohue, senior analyst. “The site’s goal will be to facilitate safe and informed wagering among American players.”
Offshore wagering sites that target US players reaped $150 billion in 2017 according to the Wall Street Journal. Players who choose to wager with unregulated offshore sites risk being the victims of fraud as well as being targeted by law enforcement for tax evasion. Many offshore sites – although operating like a business – are rooted in organized crime.
The us-bookies.com site was created by Better Collective, a leading developer of educational platforms within the iGaming industry. In addition to directing US players toward legal sports, racing, casino and other betting sites, the platform serves as an information hub for both amateur and experienced punters. Topics covered on the site range from guides to betting on specific sports to articles explaining how to read and analyze odds and in-depth analyses that provide expert insight into popular games, players and match-ups.
“With the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 overturned, it is our mission to provide American betting enthusiasts with reliable information that ensures safe, informed and legal online betting activity, said Donohue.
