(Spain; SoloAzar Exclusive).- On the occasion of his recent designation as CEO in Zitro at the international area, SoloAzar had the opportunity to interview Sebastián Salat, who told us about his new challenges, expectations vs reality, and his greatest contribution to accelerate the growth and expansion of the firm.

Sebastián Salat: confidence of international expansion for Zitro

In which personal and company moment does this designation arrive?

My designation as President of the International area of Zitro comes at a very special personal moment, in which I have the experience after almost 40 years of activity in the Industry; in which I treasure relationships with clients around the world who are also friends after so many years in this business that I love, and in which, with my know-how and my relational capital, I still have the energy and enormous enthusiasm to contribute to making Zitro a global leader. I think I'm in a great moment to help the company reach its peak.

What challenges do you see in the near future as international president of the company?

Maintain our undisputed leadership in Latin America, including, of course, Mexico. Grow in Europe, replicating in all the countries of the Continent the spectacular market share that we have achieved in Spain. Expand our presence in the US, Canada and Asia. Make our digital business an economic pillar comparable to our face-to-face business, and improve the cross-selling strategy between the two distribution channels, and prepare ourselves to respond to the challenge that the opening of the Brazilian market will entail from the economic point of view, R+D+i, industrial and logistics.

¿What expectations do you have regarding the growth of the international gaming industry in post-pandemic times?

Our expectations are to successfully overcome each one of them. Therefore, we must support our clients around the world with great products, and with business models that adapt  the economic situation of each country. In the past we have always acted like this, and the post-pandemic, and the economic and logistical problems that these times entail, are not going to separate us from the flexibility and commercial sensitivity that we have shown in such difficult times that, thanks to science, we have already left behind.

Having said that, I see the industry in the US already recovered, Europe and Australia still recovering, Asia shifting the business focus to an exciting and thriving Philippines, and Latin America getting used to the political changes that caused anxiety and uncertainty in the markets, during the year 2021 and 2022. But I have no doubt that the Gaming industry will, once again, give an excellent example of resilient behavior, and not only will succeed, but it will be a powerful engine for the world to be recovered.

What does the reorganization for Zitro's growth consist of, locally and internationally, in addition to your designation?

My responsibilities as CEO included, for example, the industrial and logistics area of Zitro. These areas still require much more effort and dedication than in the past, due to the supply difficulties of electronic components and all kinds of logistical difficulties, and high inflation. The same applies to other corporate areas that I will had to lead as CEO, and that I have left in the hands of the competent management team led by Johnny Ortiz, so that I can dedicate myself to the objective to which I can add the most value: accelerating the already explosive Zitro's international expansion.
