What is Provably Fair technology?

Provably Fair is an innovative system designed to ensure that every outcome in a game is completely fair and beyond manipulation. Unlike traditional gaming systems, which rely solely on the operator's internal processes, Provably Fair puts the power in your hands. It uses cryptographic algorithms to make game results verifiable, allowing anyone to confirm that the outcome of a round is honest and unbiased.

How does it work?

The magic of Provably Fair lies in its transparent methodology, which combines inputs from both the game operator and players to generate a result. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how it works in our games:

Server seed generation

Before a game round begins, Onlyplay’s server generates a random server seed, which is a cryptographic hash of the result. This hashed version is publicly shared before the game starts, ensuring that the operator cannot change it mid-game.

Player involvement

To make the process collaborative, the first three players in a game round contribute their own client seeds. These seeds are random values generated by their devices and act as additional inputs to the outcome.

Combining seeds

The final game result is determined by combining the server seed with the client seeds using a transparent algorithm. This process ensures that no single party has full control over the result.

Verification

After the game round ends, players can use the publicly shared server seed and their client seed to verify the outcome. By running the same algorithm, anyone can confirm that the result was generated fairly and without tampering.

How to check

You can check the fairness of each round from game history, by clicking on the icon with the result.

In the opened window, you will see server seed, 3 pairs of players' seeds, combined hash, and round result.

Combined hash, excluding the 8 result characters, is publicly available before the round starts. (In the user menu, check "Provably Fair Settings" and then "Next Combined SHA512 Hash Without Result"). You can also change your client seed here.

If you want to participate in round result generation, make sure you are between the first 3 players who made a bet in the previous round.
