(New Jersey).- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is willing to do whatever it takes for sports to return amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The measure will do much to generate expectations about the legalization of casinos in the country, as the program will be in the hands of an inter-ministerial committee which includes tourism officials who are in favor of the gaming industry.
According to Games Magazine Brazil, the individuals in charge of these areas “will strongly propose” the idea of developing casinos to “attract multimillion-dollar investments and generate thousands of jobs in Brazil.
The PPI will propose alliances to create new investment companies to develop cultural and natural assets related to the tourism industry in Brazil. The program coordinators will meet every two weeks to discuss the items on the agenda, which includes casinos. and one of the first issues is likely to be the regulation of the sector at a national level.
The inter-ministerial committee will include representatives from the Special Secretariat of the Investment Association Program of the Ministry of Economy, the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, the Secretariat of Evaluation of Public Policies, Planning, Energy and Lotteries of the Ministry of Economy (SECAP-ME).
It will also feature the Tourism Structuring Committee of the Ministry of Tourism, the National Secretariat of Inter-institutional Integration of the Ministry of Tourism, the Ecotourism Secretariat of the Ministry of the Environment and the Government Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
