CASINO MERKUR International continues to grow New location in Spain / Largest branch in Prague

(Espelkamp).- The Gauselmann Group has opened a new venue in Madrid, and with its subsidiary CASINO MERKUR International is also represented on the Spanish mainland with an electronic casino. In addition, a branch in Prague (Czech Republic) has been renovated and expanded, so that CASINO MERKUR International now operates the city’s largest venue there. “With this step, we are pushing ahead with internationalisation and further expanding our growth markets abroad,” explains Stefan Bruns, Managing director CASINO MERKUR International.
On the Spanish island of Mallorca, CASINO MERKUR International operates five venues under the “Merkur Salon de Juego” brand. The portfolio is now supplemented by the first branch on the mainland in Madrid. The company relies on a combination of exclusive atmosphere, the best service and modern products. In the branch, guests can play at 24 modern gaming machines.
CASINO MERKUR International operates 23 arcades in the Czech Republic, including eight venues under the Merkur Casino brand in Prague. One arcade has now been completely modernised and expanded from 500 to 1800 square metres. The number of seats at gaming machines in what is now the largest casino in Prague was increased from 88 to 249. Eleven live tables for roulette, blackjack and poker have also been added. Around 500 guests attended the grand opening ceremony. The highlight of the evening was a performance by singer Lou Bega (“Mambo No. 5”).
“We will continue to raise awareness of the Merkur sun as a symbol of first- class gaming enjoyment abroad. Spain and the Czech Republic are strategic target markets for the company, which will be further expanded,” Stefan Bruns concludes.
