(Macau).- Health authorities announced that, starting from 12:00am of July 15, anyone entering casinos will have to present a negative Covid-19 test apart from having to undergo body temperature checks and display a health identification code.
The measure was said to have been decided as a way to protect the health of casino workers and visitors as new borders restrictions prepare to be enforced.
Health requirements to enter resorts and hotels in Macau will remain the same as before, with Macau authorities requiring casinos to maintain good air quality circulation in gaming areas.
On Monday Guangdong authorities have announced that starting from 6:00am of July 15 (Wednesday) people coming from Macau will no longer have to undergo the mandatory 14 days quarantine in nine cities the Chinese Province.
The new policy opens up the way for Guangdong residents to come to Macau since they will now not be mandated to have to complete quarantine upon returning to the Chinese province.
