(Las Vegas).- Life in Las Vegas may not be the same as what we are accustomed to but it is inching its way back to a sense of normalcy. The first step to getting back on track is reopening the properties and MGM has completed the reopening of all U.S. casinos. Next week, we will also see another Las Vegas Strip resort open its doors for the first time since March.

On top of reopenings, we have a major acquisition by Caesars Entertainment, poker returning to a Biloxi casino and a chance to become a millionaire at a Florida casino.
Let's begin with a chance at big money:

5. $1 million lucky draw at Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is celebrating the first anniversary of The Guitar Hotel with the $1 Million Lucky Draw.
Players can enter by playing at any slot machine or table game (excluding poker) using their Seminole Wild Card to earn entries at the rate of one entry per every 50 tier points. The event began yesterday and will run through 31 October.

Players may earn up to 10 entry tickets per day. Each entry ticket will consist of six lucky numbers.

Players who match all six numbers will win $1 million cash, awarded as a 40-year annuity. If multiple eligible entries match all six numbers, the prize will be evenly distributed between the winners. Players who have five of the six numbers will receive $50,000 Free Play, players who match four of the six numbers will receive $1,000 Free Play, and players who match three of the six numbers will receive $100 Free Play.

4. Poker returns to Beau Rivage Resort Casino
Yesterday, the renowned poker room at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast officially reopened at 10 a.m.

Daily tournaments will be held on nine tables, with a maximum of six players per table. For the health and safety of guests and team members, tables are spaced to allow for social distancing and face masks are required. Tableside food will be unavailable.

Reopening our poker room allows us to offer guests another great amenity within the resort,Beau Rivage Senior Poker Manager Henry Garrison said. “The games will be a bit different with health and safety protocols in place for our team members and guests, but the essence of live poker games is such a dynamic element of the casino experience and we are thrilled to bring it back.”

3. Caesars Entertainment to acquire William Hill
Caesars Entertainment has reached a deal to acquire William Hill.
The £2.9 billion acquisition would bring together Caesars, one of the largest gaming-entertainment companies in the U.S., and William Hill, one of the world's leading betting and gambling companies.

"The opportunity to combine our land based-casinos, sports betting and online gaming in the U.S. is a truly exciting prospect," said Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg.
Completion of the deal is expected to take place in the second half of 2021.

"The William Hill Board believes this is the best option for William Hill at an attractive price for shareholders," said Roger Devlin, Chairman of William Hill, commenting on the Acquisition. "It recognizes the significant progress the William Hill Group has made over the last 18 months, as well as the risk and significant investment required to maximize the U.S. opportunity given intense competition in the U.S. and the potential for regulatory disruption in the U.K. and Europe."

2. Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino to reopen next week
Last weekend, Caesars Entertainment made the announcement that Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip will reopen 8 October.

The hotel will accommodate weekend stays, Thursday through Sunday, while the gaming floor will be open seven days a week.

“Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is the centerpiece of the famed Las Vegas Strip, and we are pleased to announce the reopening of the hotel for weekend stays, along with gaming, restaurants and other amenities, at this resort on Oct. 8,” said Senior Vice President and Planet Hollywood General Manager Jason Gregorec.

Additionally, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will debut the newly branded William Hill Race & Sports Book on reopening day.

1. Park MGM and NoMad Las Vegas reopen first smoke-free casino resorts on the Strip

On Wednesday, Park MGM and NoMad Las Vegas welcomed back guests for the first time since closing back in March. When it reopened, Park MGM became the Las Vegas Strip’s first smoke-free casino resort.

The opening of Park MGM and NoMad represents a significant milestone as we continue down the path of Las Vegas’ recovery,” said Anton Nikodemus, President of MGM Resorts’ Las Vegas Portfolio.

Park MGM and NoMad are operating within MGM Resorts’ Seven-Point Safety Plan, a multi-layered set of protocols and procedures designed in conjunction with medical and scientific experts to mitigate the spread of the virus, protect customers and employees and rapidly respond to potential new cases.
