(Reno).- Documents submitted to the city of Reno detail a proposed mixed‑use project at the corner of Kietzke and Peckham lanes, featuring a 6,000‑seat soccer stadium along with a hotel, gaming facilities, and retail space.

The project, called “The Boulevard Reno,” spans about 28 acres and would redevelop multiple parcels into a walkable destination with sports, dining, entertainment and hospitality uses, according to plans filed with the city of Reno.

According to the application, the development would transform the former Jones West Ford dealership site and an adjacent strip mall. The site currently includes retail tenants such as Grocery Outlet, Savers and Dollar Tree, along with a former Joann Fabric space.

Plans show the project would include a 301-room hotel with a casino, along with an open-air retail and restaurant village centered around a public plaza known as Electric Avenue. The development could include up to eight buildings and rise as high as seven stories.

The proposal also includes a request to expand the city’s gaming overlay district across Kietzke Lane, along with zoning changes and a conditional use permit for the stadium, hotel and outdoor recreation uses.

Project documents estimate the development could generate roughly 850 to 950 jobs and include more than 1,200 on-site parking spaces, with additional shared parking available during major events.

The site was previously identified for a potential professional soccer stadium project in Reno. A local ownership group tied to Reno Pro Soccer purchased the former Jones West Ford property and nearby retail parcels in 2025 with plans to bring a United Soccer League team to the city.

The last professional soccer team in Reno, Reno 1868 FC, played from 2017 to 2020 before shutting down during the COVID-19 pandemic.
