Resorts World Manila unveils new UltraViolet air filtration system

The Spectra UltraViolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) Care program utilizes high-powered UV lamps installed within the property’s air conditioning system to sanitize air of viruses and air-borne substances before it is pumped into public areas.

A representative of RWM operator Travellers International Hotel Group told IAG that the property is the first integrated resort to install the Spectra UVGI Care system, which is more commonly used in hospitals and other health care facilities. RWM also said the system has a 99% disinfectant rate based on the company’s own internal testing.

At present, RWM’s gaming areas in both the Garden Wing and Grand Wing are protected by the system.
In a video published this week titled “Resorts World Manila – Safer Space”, RWM Chief Operating Officer Stephen Reilly said the company wanted to ensure guests were receiving “sanitized, clean air supply whether you be in our mall, in our gaming spaces or other, so you can guarantee when you come and frequent Resorts World Manila you are definitely going to have clean air.”

RWM has also introduced the NanoAce care system by which all touchpoints on property are sprayed with a special disinfectant that adheres to surfaces and rejects germs, bacteria, fingerprints and dirt.
